The Kitten Register exists to assist breeders in selling kittens and to enable prospective buyers to locate kittens currently available. In order to match up kitten requests with kittens available the regional representatives need to be kept informed of litters for sale.

The Kitten Register operates as follows:

• The regional representatives receive the information of kittens available in their area from the breeder.
• When the representatives receive an enquiry they pass on the complete list of kittens available to prospective buyers.
• Regional representative will pass on their up-dated lists to the national co-ordinator approximately every six weeks.
• If the regional representatives have no kittens on their register they will pass the prospective buyer on to the national co-ordinator who can tell them where the nearest kittens are located.
• Litters stay on the register for six weeks and if they are still available after this time the breeder must re-apply for a further six weeks inclusion.

Enquiries often come to the national co-ordinator via the G.C.C.F.. It is therefore important that the co-ordinator has up to date regional lists so that these enquiries can be passed on to breeders within their area, or the nearest area if necessary. Should they be looking for a specific colour, the co-ordinator can inform them who has the nearest kitten, or, if they are willing to travel, they can be given the national list.
